The IGE-CZ sro (hereinafter referred to as IGE-CZ) was founded in 1997 as a manufacturer of electromechanical drives for the doors of public passenger transport vehicles, for use in the modernization of the existing means of transport, as well as new production. Customers quickly accepted IGE-CZ for its approach to solving emerging problems, guarantee quality and reliability of its products. Already in 1998, with its door drive for trams became a supplier of the major transport companies, manufacturers and overhaul companies in the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia. In this year IGE-CZ also started supplying its door drives to bus manufacturers. The year 1999 became a year of confirmation of the validity and success of the path, and IGE-CZ moved to larger business premises. Thus was laid the cornerstone for the future.

In 2002, IGE-CZ completed the development of electromechanical drives for sliding doors, which has been tested and approved for upgraded metro vehicles Finite Elements Method in the Public Transport Company of Prague, CZ. In 2003 the company - because of the further development - moved into their new premises and also completed the development of electromechanical sliding plug doors, including completion of the tests. This product is more focused on deliveries for new trams.

In 2008, IGE-CZ became a member of the Knorr-Bremse Group. With more than 9,000 delivered doors with electromechanical drives in various countries of the world, in IGE-CZ you have an experienced partner.
