Sliding plug doors

Sliding plug doors of IGE-CZ s.r.o. may be used for all types of rolling stock urban transportation. Available in double and single leaf implementation, the clear width can reach values up to 1.800 mm for the double leaf doors and 900 mm for single leaf door. Use of standard dimensions (see table) is highly recommended, please place a request in an early project phase! Thanks to a compact design the drives can be used in small installation spaces. For this reason this system is also suitable for upgrading.

The drive is controlled by a RC4-range microprocessor control unit, dc motor drives and two-channel impulse encoder for precise position control of the doors. Units of the RC4-range support standardized CAN and CANOpen communication.

The motion of the door is provided by one 24 VDC motor, the rotational movement is transferred via a toothed belt to a motion screw. Nuts on the motion screw, which are connected to the door brackets, convert rotary movement to linear movement of the door leaves. Door brackets are carried by linear ball bearings. The plugging movement of each of the wings is provided by shaped guides. Grooves in the guides are shaped to move the door in front of the outer surface of the vehicle body. The plugging motion is supported by rotating pillars that are actuated by lateral movement of the drive and a shaped cam. Blocking in the closed position is ensured by direct action of a pin towards a locking latch. Release of the latch is performed by a solenoid actuator. Doors can then move freely. In an emergency unlocking the latch is released by mechanical means. Closing and locking of the doors indicate two separate limit switches. A contact bar located in the passenger door leaf and additional motor current evaluation ensure high safety levels.
